Holiday Stress

The holiday season is stressful. Find ways to lower stress.


Spend time with loved ones. Avoid chaotic relatives. Do not feel pressured to uphold family traditions. You are an adult, make new traditions that are less stressful.


Shopping with huge crowds is suffocating. Thankfully, we have online shopping. Overspending is easy. Come up with a plan. Make a budget. Stick to it.


Keep active with things or people you enjoy. Hang out in a chatroom on your favorite website. Pamper yourself. Get adequate sleep. Stay hydrated. Indulge without over-consuming. Find time to exercise. A brisk walk to look at holiday lights is a favorite of mine.


If you find yourself spiraling out of control, reach out, ask for help. If you do not have family or friends, contact a trained professional. Take care of and be kind to yourself.
